Melody Movement with Melody Bear is a creative teaching curriculum of movement, tap dance and ballet for pre-schoolers. Melody Bear is the focal point of the classes and her imaginative stories, music, songs and picture cards create an inspirational world of dance and movement. The non-competitive syllabi and awards schemes motivate, delight and inspire the young dancers, allowing every child to achieve and shine.

We encourage a parent/ guardian to participate at first and the children can bring a teddy bear or dolly to help with confidence as it is a big step in a new environment with new people at such a young age.

Introducing basic tap, modern and ballet steps and a sense of rhythm, we nurture confidence, musicality, rhythm and co-ordination in a safe and fun environment using sensory props, ribbons and hoops, and imagery, it encourages the children to listen to and enjoy music, it is a great way for the little ones to have fun and in tap to make noise without getting into trouble for it!

RAD First Ballet

A friendly and fantastic introduction to learning the beginnings of the RAD Classical Ballet technique but most of all having lots of fun as we explore this beautiful, classic style of dance whilst developing skills including balance, rhythm, great posture and improving co-ordination.

Tap dance is the opportunity to make music with the feet, encouraging a love of music and Modern Theatre dance is a rhythmic dance style seen on the stages of musical productions and is known for its theatrical qualities. 

Mini Street

Friday

4.00-4.45 Age 4 - 6 Reception & Year 1

Street is a high energy dance style which uses lots of lively & up-tempo music (most likely the latest chart hits). With fun & vibrant routines Street is not just one dance style, it is many!

Street classes are split into three sections, a warm up and flexibility section an aerobic exercise section using street and hip hop moves then a choreographed dance section.

Great exercise and fantastic fun!
